The Global DAAD Centre is dedicated to climate adaptation and water security in scientific exchange between German, Indian and Thai universities. In Cluster III, theological ethics researches transfer strategies of climate adaptation together with scientists from IIT Madras and AIT Bangkok. How can indigenous knowledge, local economic spaces and socio-religious traditions promote dealing with changing environmental conditions?

In this project, Theology together with the Institute of Hydraulic Engineering and Water Resources Management, is developing the Master's programme "Water Security and Global Change", which will be launched as a Joint Master's programme by RWTH Aachen University, AIT Bangkok, IIT Madras Chennai, TU Dresden and UNU-FLORES Dresden in the winter semester 2024/25.
